You are the Average of the Five People that You Hang Around with the Most

http://jupiterjim.club/ I created this short 3-minute video to clearly illustrate the importance of choosing carefully the five people that you choose to hang out with the most. They have a huge impact on your life! The best illustration of this is Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak!

The Five People You Hang Out With the Most

One of the biggest factors in the success or failure of your business or the success or failure of your entire life is the five people that you spend the most time with on a regular basis.    Those people are either going to lift you up or drag you down.   As Mike Murdock says: “Every Friend feeds a Strength or a Weakness.”

If Steve Jobs had not hung out with Steve Wozniak and if the two of them had not hung out with the guys at the Homebrew Computer Club in Northern California, there would no Apple Computer company.  The history of the last 40 years would probably be very different.   Think about it!

The Founder of Dropbox Agrees with me!

Drew Houston is the 33-year-old billionaire founder of Dropbox, the file-sharing and storage service, at age 24. In January 2014, after his company was valued at $10 billion, Houston joined Forbes’ billionaire ranks, where he still holds a spot today.

In a recent interview with Adam Bryant of The New York Times, Drew Houston told students in his 2013 commencement speech at MIT, his alma mater,  that “you’re the average of your five closest friends, so make sure to put yourself in an environment that pulls the best out of you.”

This is quite an eye opening video Jim!

And I suspect, a time for some honest
soul searching!

It’s easy to get off track, especially if those closest around you, are not exactly rooting for you!

You’ve forced us to ask and hopefully get some thoughtful answers!

Thanks for sharing an extremely thoughtful video.

Mark,
You are right again. The wrong people can Easily bring you down without even trying. The right people can lift you up while you reach for your dreams. The choice is up to us!
